
KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Sumber Manusia (KESUMA) sedang membangunkan platform program latihan baharu yang diluluskan pakar industri dan boleh diakses semua lapisan masyarakat.
Menteri Sumber Manusia Steven Sim Chee Keong berkata program itu akan memilih dan menghimpunkan kursus kemahiran terbaik yang ditawarkan oleh penyedia latihan dalam dan antarabangsa.
“Program pendidikan untuk pekerja kita perlu mengandungi komponen ini – belajar di tempat kerja, belajar melalui latihan dan pembelajaran secara berterusan.
“Ia juga mesti tangkas dan fleksibel atau dalam erti lain mesti boleh menyesuaikan dengan perubahan pantas dalam industri dan berupaya berbuat demikan dengan cepat.
“IR (Revolusi Industri) 4.0 harus menjadi revolusi TVET (Pendidikan dan Latihan Teknikal dan Vokasional) kerana IR4.0 berkaitan dengan kemahiran,” katanya semasa berucap pada Forum Kemahiran Global, Tahun Kemahiran ASEAN 2025 di sini hari ini.
Forum itu dirasmikan Timbalan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yang mewakili Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Turut hadir Ketua Pengarah Pertubuhan Buruh Antarabangsa (ILO) Gilbert F. Houngbo dan Naib Presiden Pertubuhan Majikan Antarabangsa (IOE) Matthias Thorns.
Sim berkata di Malaysia, kerajaan telah menerapkan peningkatan kemahiran (upskilling) dan pemahiran semula (reskilling) ke dalam pasaran buruh melalui Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) melibatkan majikan menyumbang satu peratus levi daripada jumlah gaji, yang boleh digunakan untuk melatih dan menaik taraf pekerja mereka.
“Untuk tempoh tiga tahun lepas dari 2023 hingga Ogos tahun ini, daripada RM6.17 bilion levi yang dikutip sebanyak RM5.77 bilion atau hampir 94 peratus telah dibelanjakan untuk melatih kira-kira empat juta pekerja,” katanya.
Beliau berkata sejak 2023, KESUMA menganjurkan Minggu Latihan Kebangsaan (NTW) yang memberikan peluang rakyat Malaysia mengikuti kursus kemahiran percuma selama seminggu, merangkumi pelbagai bidang daripada kecerdasan buatan, seni warisan, pengaturcaraan komputer, pengucapan awam, kemahiran digital dan kesihatan mental.
“Pada tahun pertama penganjuran, NTW menerima penyertaan 130,000 rakyat Malaysia dan jumlah itu meningkat kepada hampir 400,000 orang pada tahun seterusnya.
“Tahun ini, NTW merekodkan hampir empat juta penyertaan dalam tempoh hanya satu minggu, disokong oleh 1,556 penyedia latihan yang menawarkan 73,231 kursus percuma.
“Kami berbangga untuk berkongsi bahawa Indonesia, Myanmar dan Timor-Leste telah mengambil konsep NTW, mengiktiraf potensinya untuk memperkukuh pembangunan tenaga kerja dan latihan kemahiran untuk dilaksanakan di negara masing-masing,” katanya.
